The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I just stumbled across an old picture of myself from about 4 or 5 years ago at a prop party at the shop and thought this might be a fun thread to start...

Post photos of yourself with your favorite U.S.C.M. weapon in an action pose!

Requirements:

WEAPON - M41-A PR, M56 SG, M78 PIG, M83-A2 SADAR, M240 FT, HK VP-70, Gerber Mark II, Sharp Stick, Burton's Right Cross, etc.
ATTIRE - BDU's and full armour are completely 'optional' but let's keep it PG-13. (except for the girls... they can wear anything they want)
POSE - Fun or serious, but must have 'action' or a sense of 'impending action'.

So what are you waiting for?

Post 'em if you got 'em!

That said, yes... I tend to like to 'rock' in my flip-flops:

I think these are the only "action" shots that I have, circa 2005 SDCC, firing behind cover ;) This was my arm and vest, but the old Hi-Impact MG42 (instead of my Matsuo that I got later), which used a Ruger 10/22 coversion kit that was streched to take the length from 3/4 scale to full scale.

Tony - I remember those! You were just a young scrapper of a recruit back then! The both of us were, actually.

This is probably my favorite 'action' shot of yours...

It’s true. It’s all true. I love my flip-flops.

They even starred in Tony's Brit Boy Production short film "Cool As Ice".

OMG! Kevin, how could I have forgotten the infamous BRC? That one really is an awesome shot. 8)

For those who believe that Kevin's Alien smack down was a set up, here is photographic proof that... well, that it kind of was.

That bug never saw it coming.

Well, that whole un-employment thing has screwed me up for the last year and half :( And before that work had gotten so nuts since the last time I was out that I couldn't get the time off!

Maybe next year <sigh>

Dude! And here I just thought you took your trimming of the Hyatt hedges a little too seriously! Looks like you need some updated photos my friend. Guess we'll be seeing you at DragonCon in two weeks, right? Right? :o

Remember the fun you had taking on the entire Jin-Roh brigade in a battle of "Who's is bigger?"...

Image

It would be great to see you at DragonCon again, but we understand if you can't make it.

Just remember this... if we don't see you next year, Tony and I will plan a special op, er... a roadtrip to your house. ;)

I'd forgotten about those pics with that Jin Roh dude from Nightmare Armory (IIRC). Ya' know what, I only JUST realized the dude is wearing platform boots! ROFLMAO!!!!

Seriously though, you & Tony oughta' road-trip out here ANYWAYS. Everyone should do SDCC at least once ;) And since I live in SD now, you wouldn't have to pay for a hotel room!

Searching for Abe, at least. Was during the Colony Sweep last year.

Funny story, the entire time I had the rifle over the edge like that, I was terrified that the bolt holding the barrel in place would fail, and the entire front part of the gun would go crashing down. (Even though I've never had a problem with that bolt, these are the things I worry about.)

Are you sure it wasn't the girl's 'duct-tape' weaponry that lured you in for the kill? Her kill?

How could we possibly say no to that? And as long as we were in Cali, we could all visit 'Ferret' to see if he needs any post-production help with "DZC".

You guys are ALWAYS welcome!
And you do realize that a trip to visit Mikey (even though I'm the one doing all the effects post) is a 450+ mile road-trip in itself, right? ;)

I'm planning to try to get to SDCC in 2011 if I can beat the rush for membership/hotels.

My plan was to try and get ONE hotel room in the nearest hotel for changing, storage and midday flaking out (for all AL peeps) and then try and get hostels or cheaper hotel if our number is greater than that room can accommodate.

Good to see you back online Jesse!

Webpage says "Online Registration Opening Soon".

I'll keep a close eye on it and will shout from the hills on FB, Twitter and on here when they're available. (If I get there before they do sell out...)
