The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey all, is this a suitable place to discuss Halcyon Aliens kits?

Here are some great sources:

http://starshipmodeler.com/rv/ps_apc.htm

A great guide to building a super detailed M577 APC, The author even sources components from kit bashes. Fully detailed interior!

From Jbot decals in Canada..alternate APC and UD-4L decals ..1/144 to 1/35th scale

http://www.jbot.ca/space/aliens1.shtml

http://www.jbot.ca/space/aliens2.shtml

I'M planing a detailed build on both. With the Dropship; I'm on the fence as to what configuration to build it in...I'll have to find another...

More to come...

Thanks for the links Doc.

Starship modeler looks like a pretty awesome site. Great Sulaco photos here.

The decals are nice too, but I'd be wanting to make them as they were in the movie.

The kits I have are the APC, Dropship, Sulaco and Power Loader.

The first three are unbuilt, but the Power Loader has been half-built in it's box for 15 years with an bad paint job which I'd like to undo.

It's also missing a small part, so I need to figure out how to duplicate it from it's twin at some point.

If the twin is the cylinder at the left of your photo then it looks fairly easy to replicate as a resin casting.
