The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Is the rank insignia on BOTH arms for USCM or just the left arm? Also, what's the proper color/border?

Rank Chevrons

Dark green border with yellow/gold stripes.
Also; they are only supposed to go on the left arm. I was jumped on for that, but still have one on each ;)

Thank goodness they are out of stock of the Cpl patches. We have way too many of them

Why do the US forces have *sooooooo* many ranks!!?
"How many stripes can I squeeze onto one arm..."
It seems like everyone has to get a badge for something.

I was chatting to an Army recruting guy last time I was in Florida and trying to work out where my rank approximatly equals... not easy.
We have such a simple system by comparisson.

NCO ranks:
Corporal, Sergeant, Flight Sergeant, Warrant Officer.

Easy! With only minor additions for technical trades and aircrew.

Sigh, it's lonely at the top. Oh well, at least I don't have to sit with the plebes and the cornbread is better, too.
