The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Stop xeno-racism! Only you can decide to embrace your slimy, exoskeletoned brothers and stop the hatred! Give peace a chance!

But if they try and facehug you, nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Jeezy.....

So the guy in the red shirt is holding a live shotgun with a round chambered, the mechanism cocked and he doesn't even know where the trigger is... so he finds it out by poking his finger into the hole... It's not clear whether the safety is on or not.

Seriously, my first thought is how awful their safety procedures are, with weapon coolness factor coming second. Then again, YouTube is full of people pissing about, innit? :D

Russ's post reminds me of a bridge on the M25 where I grew up. Years and years ago, someone clever painted it with the slogan:

"GIVE PEAS A CHANCE"

It's made so many people smile when they pass it, the council have kept it there

i like how he figured out that you have to slam the pump back all the way to chamber another round on the shotgun.

With this particular firearm, it is a 9mm design, and it utilizes the Suomi coffin magazines that have a capacity of 50 rounds.

This is the same weapon - different video - and the above text is in the info section... as the Thompson was a .45 is the SMG part of this PR a different gun?? Sounds different to a Thompson .45. (?)

well looking at the info, it says it is a 9mm. so maybe that would explain the difference in the sound.

also the counter works!

The machine gun used in this pulse rifle replica is not a Thompson; it is a 9mm MAC-11.

interesting just wondering though how modified it must have been
seeing as the magazine for a mac 11 is in the handle

Its a mac lower with a modded upper, there's obviously a linkage for the trigger mech.

That doesn't look like a mac11 magazine to me, and I don't mean the buttplate, I mean the sides. I suppose they had to modify that part of the weapon entirely, since the mag release is on the back of the grip.

It would be really interesting (for a gun buff like me anyhow) to see how this was built.

Ya know, somewhere on one of these threads here (or maybe somewhere else) I saw a link to the weapon that was used in this build. Its a total 3rd party type weapon that combines many of the features we recognize as belonging to one gun or another.

Yes I did sir... someone I'm friends with on FB posted up the videos and thought it was an original M1 build... I knew it wasn't but forgot what was used.

Thanks!

:D Now that is an awesome t-shirt idea! Either Rimmer's one, or maybe just a stylised logo-type of the acronym? ;)
