As many of you know, Andrew David (ADC) has been making a professional feature length documentary about the Aliens fandom. The premiere screening of "Alien Encounters: Superior Fanpower since 1979" will be on Saturday 28th November (Collectormania Weekend), starting at about 8pm. The venue is the function room of the Hand & Flower Pub/Hotel that is across the road from Olympia Exhibition centre in London W14. Note that this film is very different to the "NSC DVD" film with a similar title that was released a couple of years ago. There is a possibility that there will be a few special guests attending (and I don't mean the Kemp Players!). More info when this is confirmed! The room easily has capacity for 30 people. I am assuming that most of the UKCM attending Collectormania London will be able to make it. However, it is open to all. Post below if you might be attending! |

Petty Cash Officer Gareth! I hope to be there, however trying to get the time off will be like trying to stop all war in the world. The bosses have a strict 4 week booking period plus another member of staff is off at the time. Ah i will prevail! We'll see. |

Contracts and all that. No copies until after it comes out – there will be an extended AL edition that runs 35mins longer and will feature just about everyone on the board (that was filmed, of course). OK. I have moved the booking slightly - the film will hopefully still show at about 8pm, but we have the room from 7pm. This is to allow us to have dinner in the room before the film showing. Annoyingly, their new menu is coming out on Wednesday that has "more choice". This is lucky, because their old one seems a bit sparse I will try and put in some leg work to get a look at the new menu and let you know. Annoyingly, they wanted a weeks notice to be able to offer the Xmas menu to a party of our size. However, people might be able to creep downstairs, order and have it brought up????
