It's close but there's no Thompson!

The counter needs a bit of work, although he does mention that's a prototype, and I'd love to know what kind of shrouds those are!

It's definitely not a stock M1A1, and has a funky TMH, is it something else entirely?

Otherwise, outstanding! :)

Yeah thats definitely not a thompson. Still looks to be .45ACP from the slow-mo shots. Yet it has NO recoil  I really wan't to know what gun that is in there, because that is just a pure beauty!

If one can be made, there can be others. Definitely not a "replica". I can only imagine the envy of everyone on his range.

Based on the Mac 11 9mm. Knew that ejection port looked familiar.

:m41aownage: Its very nice and close enough to be wonderful to own. Now all we need is a Universe in which one could own one without being arrested. We now need a gun licence to own a replica in South Australia, so this isn't gunna happen ever... wish it could though

Post subject:  Re: New Live Fire full auto PR

no chance of ever getting that here
am looking into getting a thomspon on a license but it would have to be converted to .22 to have it for semi auto but a blank firing could work well

If you want an M1A1 that makes a bang without any of the license hassle, go for a PFC version.

whats a pfc version when its at home?

Plug Fired Cartridge? Or something like that.

Big caps contained in actual sized cartridges that cycle through the mechanism and make big bangs.

I don't think that's a Mac 11 in there. Not sure what it is. :?

MAC-10?

Didn't the dude who created it in the thread say it was a "MAC-11"?

Post subject:  Re: New Live Fire full auto PR

Yeah someone said it was a Mac 11...

But doesn't a Mac 11 have the charging bolt on the top of the receiver? And isn't the grip directly below the ejection port?

It was said to have been "heavily modified". Not doubting that it IS a Mac 11- but I'd be very interested in the modifications. I'd like to see it with the shroud off.

It being a MAC would explain the lack of perceived recoil...

I see the mention of the mac 11 now. Missed that earlier. It must be one heavily modified weapon because that charging handle is on the top. Just now fired up photoshop just to see if this would be possible. Not sure if the scale is spot on but this is what I could come up with.

It looks like a stoney creek armory upper that fits on a mac11, it uses suomi coffin mags. Hence the 50 round capactiy. That particular mod uses the M11 lower for the trigger group only, the magazine is relocated forward of the frame.

It's a concession to the fact that fully transferable M1A1's are very expensive to transferable M11 lowers. So it's the only way you can get close to a full auto pulse rifle without shelling out for a real thompson.
