The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

OK, so a while back, I got hold of a real alarm box to make a second shoulder lamp - I'm gradually swapping out Matsu's wonderful resin work with the real thing as I have a real Reflecta light too.

Anyway, I wanted to make the lamp self-contained and functional - Handy, then, that the alarm box has a removable panel and 6XAA battery pack!
So I stripped it, removed the useless microwave sensor from the top ( Hey, it wasn't used in the movie for anything... It's junk, right? ) painted it with the EVIL PAINT OF DOOM...

And realised I've lost the bloody screws from the body of the lamp.

Then I had an idea.

And thankfully, the screws from the wee sensor appear to fit the main body as well.
Yay :)

Also, as the battery compartment is inset, I can now run an Ikea double-ended screw right through both sides of the box, and my armour so it'll be rock solid when it's on there.

Yay, w00t, etc.

In other "Bin nothing" news...
I have a drawer full of old paints that I plan to revive with boiling water - some day.
Anyone who paints models will know that ( Aside from the EVIL PAINT OF DOOM that Humbrol made once upon a time ) yellow is one of the most annoying colours to use.
Well, I found a use for it :)

Someone failed at posting an image...

I HATE yellow paint - particularly Games Workshop's yellow paint. One of the reasons why I never wanted to paint an Imperial Fists army. ;)

"Bin Nothing"

For our cousins on this side of the pond that means "Don't throw anything away" if you haven't already figured it out.

I knew what "bin" meant in UK English terminology- however when I first glanced at the title of this thread I thought it was a warning about a Buy It Now auction on ebay.

And yeah, I think the whole unit was on the all next to Medlab, but I don't has a Medlab, so...

As for the splash - One of the buggers popped out of a floor grating, so I stepped on its head and blew its brains out.
My boots were ruined! And there's me just having polished them, too...

Bloody Xenos :(

Nope.
Rarely found anything I want on there. I think I've only bought three things off there since I first went online ten years ago.

I usually have people custom/tailor make me the stuff I want :D
This is one of the reasons I am poor
