OK, so a while back, I got hold of a real alarm box to make a second shoulder lamp - I'm gradually swapping out Matsu's wonderful resin work with the real thing as I have a real Reflecta light too.
Anyway, I wanted to make the lamp self-contained and functional - Handy, then, that the alarm box has a removable panel and 6XAA battery pack!
So I stripped it, removed the useless microwave sensor from the top ( Hey, it wasn't used in the movie for anything... It's junk, right? ) painted it with the EVIL PAINT OF DOOM...
And realised I've lost the bloody screws from the body of the lamp.
Then I had an idea.
And thankfully, the screws from the wee sensor appear to fit the main body as well.
Yay

Also, as the battery compartment is inset, I can now run an Ikea double-ended screw right through both sides of the box, and my armour so it'll be rock solid when it's on there.
Yay, w00t, etc.
In other "Bin nothing" news...
I have a drawer full of old paints that I plan to revive with boiling water - some day.
Anyone who paints models will know that ( Aside from the EVIL PAINT OF DOOM that Humbrol made once upon a time ) yellow is one of the most annoying colours to use.
Well, I found a use for it

Cracked shin guard + hot glue + old yellow paint
