The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Country: United States
I am scheduled to be the moderator for a panel featuring Michael Biehn at DragonCon this year. I know a little about the man, and I know that the Terminator movies are the only ones he's been in regarding some kind of apocalypse. (Well, maybe Grindhouse, too) Anyway, first off I'm just spreading the word here. Secondly, are there any questions or comments that anyone would like me to bring up with him? Any topics that you'd like to hear his thoughts on? Any intriguing questions I should be sure to ask? I know that I'm likely going to embarrass him when I tell him that his performance as Corporal Hicks was a big reason why I joined the Marines myself. But I'd like to hear the other fans thoughts about this.

Apocalypse Rising Track
SUNDAY 1:00 PM Come with me if you want to live...or meet Michael Biehn
Location TBD

He was in an episode of "Logan's Run" in 1977, which is set in a post-apocalyptic world.

From what I saw last year, panels never stick to the subject, so I'd ask;

What do you think about a large number of adults from all over the world, dressing up as characters from a film he starred in over 23 years ago? :D

His "Johnny Ringo" in Tombstone was not so bad either, the same crazy eyes more or less as in Abyss

I don't know if anyone caught the panel, but it went great. Michael Biehn really is a cool guy. Anyway, he made a comment that may interest some of you. He mentioned that when he replaced 'another actor' (James Remar but I suppose he didn't want to bad-mouth him) he 'inherited' the guy's armor. He said that he looked at it and there was a big red heart right here (points to his chest) and to him it looked like a bull's-eye. So he hated the heart and it wasn't even his idea. Don't know if anyone knew that already.

Who wants to tell Dave first?

Yeah his "bullseye" story is actually on the Quadrilogy extras disc. The whole thing about him replacing James Remar is on there. 8)

One thing he hinted at was why he replaced James Remar. I had never known why until Saturday afternoon.

And no- I'm not going to repeat it here. Sorry everyone, but someone once said it is not something that should be discussed on a public forum for legal reasons, and I now understand why.

At the panel on Saturday I actually wanted to hear him talk about the "fire in the APC" story. Again this is word for word on the Quad disc, but it is a lot more fun to hear him tell it in person of course. Unfortunately I didn't take the time to get off my butt and ask before we got to the ALG presentation.

I'm almost glad I wasn't able to go since it meant I avoided the geek-out moment of not being able to talk.

Someone should have asked if Curren lived in "Navy Seals"

Guys, if this happens again, ask me to ask the question. I've got plenty of public speakin' experience...

I just didn't have a good friggin' question to ask! Didn't want to geek out and say sumthin' stoopid instead.... sat there wondering: "What would be a good question to ask??"

I took some at the first panel, but the lighting in there seemed to screw up my camera, as they came out looking awful.

They only showed Michael standing on the stage, so don't expect to see him in fancy dress or doing acrobatics or anything.

I'll edit my footage of the panel when I recover - I have con crud that is bordering on the flu...

My footage is pretty poorly framed because I decided to frame out the sign language interpreter who was bobbing around in front of Michael.
