One of my reenacting friends is on one of his twice a year going to see family in Japan trips and bought a TM M1.

Told me I could buy it off him for $180. I think I'm hopping on it... so how hard (and much) is it to convert to a M41? :P

At that price, BUY IT!! It's not hard to covert, at all. I've got one adapter remaining if you think you can use it. :D

Looking into it, this is going to be a fun long-term project, after hunting down parts and stuff. But I like challenges :D

So the adapter allows me to continue using it for airsofting if I understand correctly? Not that I AS much but its nice to have the option.

Then I need:

SPAS handguard/pump
Barrel Shrouds
Stock
Body
Counter
Time and Tools

Is that correct?

That depends on how far you wish to take your PR. Personally i have a G&P kit with a TM M1A1, No additions yet but i plan to make it into a hero pulse rifle when i can.

With a G&P Kit which you can buy if you are still lucky it comes with all the shrouds, metal stock, metal Barrel vent, Plastic styrene SPAS and Grips and all the other essentials. This was quite tricky for me to take apart and then put it back together but it isn't half fun if you got a day to yourself.

With a Hero PR, There are members here that make the Copies of the shrouds, SPAS and grips into Metals, Resins and Fiber Glass. Then you need a Remmington M870 as the "Grenade Luncher". I'm sure people here would be happy to make some parts for you as such and they would also be intrested in possibly helping you out with your PR dream.

But my advise is start off with the G&P kit to get the hang of things.

Need anymore information just PM me.

Cheers

Callum

Although if I were re-doing my g and p kit, Id leave out those damn wee push pin thingys. FAR too tight and fractured the shroud in one place.

just widen the holes with a drill....that way its easy to assemble and wont break the shrouds...

What with the plates on the magwell, the clamp thing at the stock and the two bolts through the top / middle of the shroud, the push pins seem a bit unnecessary.
