Just let you know i'm experimenting with alot of liquid latex which seems to be the best option at the moment.

But i've noticed that quite alot of the aliens here don't have the latex/gum joints. So i'm going to experiment with some liquid latex and other sources of latex and see if it works with that.

Then if it works well with Arnold then i shall be making the first run free of charge for all the Xeno's here.

Give me about a month or two to make a cast and then experiment with Arnold.

I think the mouth 'tendons' on the original 'Alien' and 'Aliens' heads were made from condoms - IIRC HR Giger mentions this in his documentary 'Giger's Alien'. I think he says that the technicians had to boil the condoms to remove the lubricant.

However, be aware that all the cast tendons/lips I've seen before have been too thick; I think it's difficult to cast them thin enough.

if you use balloon latex, it thinner latex and very flexable you will come up with some very nice parts

One of the guys in my prop group molded his Alien tendons out of Dragon Skin silicone rubber which is insanely elastic, comes translucent, and will take color pigments.

Smooth-On carries it.
