The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

hey guys I'm curious, what type of helmets were used to make the USCM helmets, I know they're M1 steel pots, but where they the ww2 type of vietnam era ones? I noticed the nam era ones are a little smaller and less round,

I ask this because I have a ton of old linerless ww2 steel pots collecting dust in my basement, and and a friend who's good at making stuff with pepakura, she says she can turn them into USCM helmets, but I'm wondering would these be accurate?

I would say the later versions would be better, but we wouldn't complain if you turned an older one into a USCM top.

I can attest to her work, she's very good at what she does. I'll be ordering one from her shortly. A great example of her work, are her Pink SPARTAN and Pink Halo Marine costumes which she made for herself and her boyfriend.

Will get pics up when the helmet arrives in a few weeks.
