Sounds a bit scary and the ASA don't like any advert being scary, so it was either for a product non-child related; beer, anti-perspirant ('Sure for Men'?) or similar.
I don't remember it at all though.

On another forum I visit, someone asked about an Aliens advert. I don't watch adverts, so I don't remember this one, but someone here might know what it is. Can anyone help? it was a send-up of Aliens - a space marine, called Brad, is cautiously stalking through a spaceship on the lookout for an alien. our POV is split between watching Brad, and then a 1st-person of some alien zooming through these tunnels towards him. every so often, some chap over an intercom asks him if he "can see it yet?" "Nope." alien suddenly bears down on him from above. he looks up, drops his weapon, and runs off set shouting "SHHHUUUUURRRE!" cut to outside of ship, then display of advertised product (unsure what this is, but im thinking Kit Kat, Weetabix, Beer, etc. etc.) im desperate! can anyone help me?? |

ok the advert is for Tennents Pilsner larger, i have it on Tape.. not sure what year it was first shown, i have it on a mixture tape, the next thing on my tape is Barry norman talking about the release of Alien SE on video tape..!! so its about the same time?

Gelnn: when my work load is light again, I can always do you some Vhs to digital transfers if you like. I should have all my gear back in my house by the end of July which would make that possible. |
