Tom Woodruff said the other weekend that there was a lot of footage not used.....but they thought it was just blank film because 'it was so damn dark!!!'
I have the unrated version of the DVD (I believe) and I don't think the lower body fell away.

Hey all, There is a big spoiler in the following, so be warned. Just an odd curiosity. On the uncut DVD of AVP-R, the Predator's shuriken pins the blonde girl to the wall, cutting her in half - you see her lower body fall off. Yet on the uncut Blu-Ray, she is imply pinned - just like the theatrical version. The Blu-Ray includes all the other un-cut footage, but not this one scene. Any thoughts? Also, anyone know if another cut of this film will ever be released? I hear there was considerable footage left over from the uncut version. |

I really enjoyed AVP-R. I thought it was way better than AVP. My only complaint was the lack of lighting. I'm just glad that after 20 years, we were finally able to watch someone shoot an Alien

That happens on the uncut DVD as well. I just watched it last night. |

It happens on the DVD, but not the Blu-Ray... Unless I have some whacky one of a kind copy of the film lol. |

My uncut (US/Region 1) DVD definitely shows the legs/lower half drop down to the right of frame when the camera angle shifts from front-on to side-on to show the boyfriend's reaction. |

I contacted Fox about this. It was just a mistake, also with no plan to rectify. The lower half of her body DOES indeed fall off in the unrated version on dvd. And you can hear intestines and such spill out. However, that scene was left out of the blu-ray. I was a little pissed about it. So I rented and copied the dvd version just so I'd have that scene. |
