The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Rear vizier... rear sight?

Is the size 1:1...? For a toy, that's damn realistic.

I think I saw that MP5 toy at a costume shop on Yonge St. Toronto a few months back, as memory serves the size is close enough to 1:1 scale.

Here's a link to the toy guns made by that manufacturer

I'll be in Toronto either this or next week and can stop by and check out the shop that brings them in, maybe they'll have a number of them in/can order extras of other versions?

Is that place just a little south of Bloor?

I recall it being just slightly north of Dundas, there are 2 shops like that in relative walking distance from each other so we may be collectively thinking of the same thing (again ;) ). The location that comes to my mind has a glass covered display showing some wacky goods situated perpendicular to the sidewalk... ring any bells?

Not really- but I haven't been in that area of TO in a loooong time (maybe a couple of years). Haven't been shopping in TO in a while anyway, and I tend to stick around Queen St (comic shops, surplus etc). I've got a week off work coming up, if I feel up to the drive I might check it out.

I'll be in town for Anime North, so if you can provide an address, I can try to go see myself.
