So I have been messing with a racal headset part , basically i put a real racal minilite headset on a block of nsp clay (sulfur free ) ,and then i made it a little beefier so that i could make copies and have them stand up to a little abuse , now i was going to make both sides ,but i figured whomever gets one can make the other side out of some sheet pvc .which i will include ...now this will just be the left side .. i also plan on molding a couple pieces of steel nside to make them sturdy.. so here are a couple pics /

And nothing to it but to do it... I actually went with smaller nails, but you get the idea. Problem is I wasted as much resin as I used so I am going to make another mold... that should make molding more efficient.

Do you just mean you mixed too much of it up? A lot of resin folk have other small moulds on hand to pour spare resin into, or of course you could just experiment with mixing up smaller amounts.

Nice work on the mold. Can't wait to see an actual finished product.
As resin should never be wasted, its just to expensive, buy
stuff that you can mix at a 1/1 ratio. Before you mix it, find out
exactly how much you need to poor into the mold. If you have to
fill up the mold with water, then dump the water into a measuring device
and boom that's how much resin you have to mix up.
No mess no fuss.

Very Intersted in this, I'll definitely be checking the PX thread once I make the required post count up. Nice Casting too btw, is the new mold just open/slush style or a standard two piece?
