The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Check this out. I picked up one of these at my local Sam's club. It cost me around USD $60.00. I know a bit pricey but it comes with many parts that may be used in the shoulder lamp.

There are 3 multi-position joints that are metal and reminded me of the Shoulder lamp joint. Wires can be routed right through the joint as well.

The 2 lights are low voltage LEDs and put out a decent amount of light and there is also a rechargeable battery that would fit inside of the shoulder lamp body. There is also a good size solar panel and PIR that could probably be used in another project.

I have had a shoulder lamp kit for a while but I wanted a metal knuckle joint for it instead of resin and this looks like it may be a good off the shelf substitute. Let me know what you think.

A bit expensive, yes. But with metal parts that can be attached to a resin alarm box, it should be pretty strong.
