The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey Everyone,
I received my armor from Spat last week! Spent the last few days putting things together and finally got around to taking pics.
Not only a big thanks to Spat (who, BTW, is everything I had read about; a really cool & friendly guy who was extremely helpful to a newbee like me) but also to Matsuo (for the lamp) & everyone here for your posts. I lurked for awhile and found alot of helpful info that I used to get his far. Much appreciated!! :D
Still need to get accurate BDU's, but will work on that after me & my wife move this weekend. But these should do in the meantime?
I didn't know at the time it was being made, but Spat added a couple new things to the armor. He moved the loops under the shoulder epaulettes to be more centered, so the shoulders won't have the problem of slipping to the sides anymore and he made the grenade loops out of elastic so they will hold grenades better. These were a cool surprise!
BTW, for everyone out there who's thinking about getting a set of armor but worry/don't know if it will fit you or not, I'm 6'4" & 250 lbs. While I could still adjust it better on my body, it fits fine!

Thanks again & take care!
-Dave

Looks sweet!

Yeah, I do listen when people tell me to make changes to the armor, so the new shoulder placement and the new Grenade loops are a welcome change and should make things even better for everyone!

Looks great. I like the CS6 mod too. The WY logo is a nice touch.

2003?

The BDUs you're wearing look pretty good, so there's no need to fret about whether they look good enough. :)

"2003?"

Yep, my rechargeable battery doesn't hold a charge anymore, and when I put regular AA batteries in, the date & time got erased. I figured "Man, I can set that later. I gotta hurry and get a pic finally!". Plus it was getting close to Jeopardy time (my wife's favorite show) so it was either get a pic then or wait until the Final Jeopardy answer was done with :D

Thanks for the BDU advice! I really didn't know how it would look together until I got the armor on & was something I was really dwelling upon.

Thanks everyone on the CS-6 Recon comments. When I was waiting for my armor to arrive, I really couldn't stand the waiting (felt like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive!)& wanted to work on something towards my costume to occupy my time. Didn't know how it would turn out (i.e. how badly I would mess it up :D ), so I got the Recon to practice on.

Take care!
