The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello everyone, I'm James & I'm in Sunny California....Having Served in the actual Marines for over 10 yrs I've decided to get back into it, just the Aliens version lol. So far my wife is already set up with armor from Spat based off of Bella from the video game so its more like Recon armor, with a Smart Gunner Headset. My 5yr old son has a Set of Colonial armor and im trying to build a flame unit for him. As for myself im currently waiting for my set so hopefully we can troop all the cons out here. hopefully in the future we look forward to trooping with other Colonial Marines out here..Til then...watch your 6

Hi there. Victor from Los Angeles. Aliens hit me like a ton of bricks when I was a kid (as I'm sure everyone here can relate). I remember waiting like thirty minutes to download a gif somebody had made of 3D dropship model. I thought it was the coolest thing. I remember downloading the script off Drew's Script-O-Rama and printing a copy in my 6th grade computer lab... I accidentally printed 10 copies - whoops! I kept it in a binder and read it forwards and backwards. I would draw blueprints of M41A pulse rifles. In my head I'd have one that fired bb's and one for laser-tag. This was during the heyday of Aliens toys too, so I was pretty deep in it. Then, you know, life happens and you get busy doing other stuff. In college I discovered the RPF and got back in to everything, but once I graduated I had to focus on getting my act together. That was back in 2008, right when I feel like a lot of awesome stuff started happening in the prop community.

Last year, I was finally in a place to get back into things and here I am. A part of me wishes I'd been a part of all the cool stuff in the past 7-8 years, but I'll just do my best and have fun looking forward. I have a few projects planned - gotta make good on a few childhood dreams :)

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hey everyone! I was invited to join the site after having a small discussion with a gentleman on Twitter with the handle of PVBuk! Extremely top chap so decided I'd come check out the forum! I've been a fan of Aliens since I was in single digits, having spotted the Aliens toys that came with the miniature Dark Horse comics, and throwing a bit of strop until my grandparents agreed to let me have one, every time we went to visit them, I'd get a new Aliens toy :D [still got quite a few of those toys stowed away in the attic come to think of it, will have to dig them out!] although being the age I was, my parents were adamant I wasn't allowed to watch the film until I was much much older. Being a child and thinking I knew better, by the time I was 11 I'd found a schoolfriend whose parents were less concerned about the media he was watching, and managed to view Aliens. Although at that age it was a little scary for someone who'd been protected from viewing such things, I instantly knew it was probably one of my favourite films of all time, and would well into my adult years. Now I'm 30, and it's still one of my most watched films of all time!

Looking forward to meeting you all, and hopefully starting work on assembling a full suit of USMC armour!

Hey there, I'm the new guy here. My name is Mati, but everybody needs a nickname right?
I live in Berlin, am 35 years old, work as sculptor and apparently I have been using the internet all wrong as it took me till today to stumble upon this board!
I love the Alien movies, comics, action figures, games and model kits. I'll have to get me a marine uniform at some point and one of those airsoft conversion kits would also rock.

:mt: Just because there is one!

Fellow Marines (and fans),

I am writing from Denver, CO, and am in the process of starting a detachment/squad here. My name is Brock. I've been a fan of the Aliens franchise since I was a kid - movies, books, toys, comics, etc. I am also interested in USCM apparel and costumes. Recently, I made a replica of Bishop's flight suit (I'll post pix shortly), and am in the process of creating a Smart Gunner's costume for the Denver Comic Con as well as Dragon Con.

I look forward to hearing from each of you. At this time, there's only me and a buddy of mine in the squad. If you're in the Midwestern or Western US, and you would like to join, email me at speedracertwo@gmail.com.

Stay frosty, good luck, and good hunting. Oorah to ashes!

Just wanted to say thanks for adding me to the group. Aliens was the last movie I went to see before shipping off to boot camp back in 86. 30's later it's still one of my favorites. I'm putting together a Colonial Marine uniform for this years Comic Con in San Diego. If anyone else is going let me know. Cheers

Hello everybody!
My name is Kevin and I'm currently a member of the 501st Legion's Dune Sea Garrison here in Arizona, USA.

I've been a fan of Aliens since the movie came out, even wore out a cheap VHS copy that I recorded off HBO back in the day.

Since starting costuming a couple years ago, I've been thinking of doing a Colonial Marine and now I've found this forum. Can't wait to get started!

New to the board but not to costuming. Been costuming about 20 years and have at present count 64 costumes. I am planning to work on a PFC. Hudson outfit going scratch built on most of my gear. Using a NERF with the shroud added over it like one of the posts I have read on here did. Going eva for armor and using the WWII Marine camos for my bdu's since I can't swing the movie accurate ones right now.

Hi everyone,

I'm a New Zealand based costumer/cosplayer/propbuilder and thought it was about time I joined up.

I've made a full set of EVA foam armour, plastic modified M88 lid, EVA foam tracker and shoulder lamp, and a scratch built pulse rifle (Nerf/MDF). I also helped design a full patch set for our little antipodean corps, including a 'screaming kiwi'. My armour is of course Hudson's but the BDU (Multicam) and patches are kind of unique.

I have a Facebook page with more pictures and build-up photo albums if you would like to check them out.

Hello there,

this is my first post! My name is Chris and I am from Germany.
First of all, excuse my poor english.
I am a huge ALIENS fan since I was a child and I am proud to became a member in this amzing forum.

I have a strong passion for the colonial marines. This is why I'll start building my own USCM armour! Hopefully I'll find here some good and kind advices in this board on my way to create my own Colonial Marine gear!

Urrrahhhhh,

Hi, my name is Juan Carlos, I am from Spain and I have been an Alien saga die hard fan since I was 7, when I got amazed after watching Alien

My fave film of alltime is Aliens, followed by Alien. Alien 3 is not as bad as many people say and Alien Resurrection is IMO the worst. About Prometheus, I must say the same as with "Lost".

I have played every game starting with Alien trilogy, AvP 2001 (which was sooo cool playing in cybercafes), AvP 2 (which I thing is the BEST), AvP (2010) and Colonial Marines (One of my faves too because of the story of sigle campaign and DLC)

I recently purchased a Snow Wolf Airsoft Pulse Rifle, and thanks to "Noble", I could take part of this phorum. Now I am searching how to improve it (watching THERPF web too) and lookinf for a complete USCM armor
