The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey guys. I've been a forum member in the past and kind of vanished... but I am BACK

The name is Eric. Been an Alien geek for some time now... probably since my mom first saw Aliens when she was pregnant with me. I am pretty sure that did it :-)
I am a native of Elkridge, MD. I am 21 and am glad to be back on the forums :-) :delta:

Hey everyone. My name is Noah. I'm 24 years old; going to school in New Mexico. I hadn't been active in the Aliens universe for awhile until I came across news about the new pulse rifle replica. Suddenly, I'm hooked again. I just bought a copy of Aliens vs Predator 2 for the PC off ebay cause I can't wait for the new game to come out! Thanks to everyone for being so friendly!

Hi, my name's Neale and I'm 33. I've been a huge fan of Aliens since I managed to sneak a viewing when I was 12 or so. Now, after 20 years of wanting, I've ordered both a Spulse and one of the HCG replicas!

So, hello!

My name is David Dimoplon, I am obsessed with the aliens movies. I was at the wonderfest 2009 in Louisville KY. I met three british guys there who said they are part of this board. I met the alien guy with the red dog collar! Anyone know where I can locate the marsattack guy who makes the ir sight and boom mike?

Hi David and welcome to the board.

You would have met Gareth (Pug50), or rather his alter-ego Abe The Alien, and our very own ADC at Wonderfest.

Scroll to the top and click on 'Members', or check the PX section.

Thanks Harry,
I have long frequented this site! You are clearly an authority in our aliens fandom. I look forward to getting to meet all the members!

I met another one of your members at wonderfest 2009. I forget his name but he was a dealer... he also had the MAA camo on....

thanks again for the invite.

regards,
David Dimoplon

Hey, newbies... it's a big help if you can add your location to your profile so we know where you all are at.

***can't believe I beat Harry to posting that....***

Could we make "location" a 'must enter value' field on the reg form. :)

We certainly can, but it would be difficult to force people to put something meaningful in there.

At least it would make em put something and most would likely put an appropriate entry.

Or maybe a country list drop down?

And, as the Simon suggested, I have added a "Country" field to the Profile and Registration pages. We may (or may not) make this a required field at some point.

Hey Ya'll.

I just thought I'd pop by and say hi, officially. I actually just watched all 4 Alien movies for the first time, this past week (I know...how sad is that..). I had seen the AVP movies before and just didn't seem to get it. Now, they make a bit more sense.

I have to say that Alien was slllloooowwww, but good.... Aliens and Alien 3 were VERY good (and my fav being Aliens) but Alien Resurrection stinks...seriously (this is personal opinion only, but that movie was a waste of film).

So.. there ya have it. My little bit of rambling. With that, I'll say goodnight and I'll see you Marines and Alien(s) at Dragon*Con this year. :)

Hello to everyone at Aliens Legacy! My name's David, I am 37, live in Manchester UK and have been a fan of the ALIEN series....( well, ALIEN & ALIENS...ahem  )....since first seeing ALIEN at the age of 10!

I first came across this site about a year ago whilst I was scouring the internet looking for ALIENS props info and have been a regular visitor ever since, I always enjoy reading through the posts/banter etc.....I am a complete newcomer to forums and have never been a member of any communities before, I can honestly say that i think had the internet and sites like this been around in my teens (1980's) I probably would have spent most my life on it as I (used to be) an ALIENS fanatic!!....I say "used to be"...I still am at heart, it's just that my "obsession" had to take a back seat as I got older and had less time and spare cash to indulge in my hobby! That's life eh!

Back when I was collecting stuff in the 80's it was really hard to come across anything Alien related.... there was no internet, which meant no eBay, no resources like this to share information with fellow fans. My only source of info really was a monthly modelling magazine that had a small sci-fi section in it! I also used to make the journey into Manchester whenever I could afford, there was a tiny little sci-fi store in the corn exchange, I think it was called odyssey7 or something similar!.... i can still remember the excitement I felt as I approached the doors and walked down the steps into an Aladdin's Cave of Sci Fi memorabilia! and I did manage to pick up some Aliens bits and bobs from time to time, mostly stills/patches/magazines.

Like I said collecting was difficult and there really wasn't that much stuff out there.....The excellent Halcyon model kit range was a great time for me, as was the very poor quality AEF designs range of figures, as well as a 1:1 scale resin PR replica (it must have been one of the very first ones produced.... and I STILL haven't got round to finishing it!!!!)..... it's during that time that I learnt to model/paint/detail/weather....( another hobby that I have not done for years that I am lookin' forward to taking up again)....Over the last 15 years or so I have given most of my collection away...(cringe!) simply because I have moved around a lot and didn't have room to be lugging stuff around with me, and I had told myself that I will never buy something that is ultimately just gonna sit on a shelf and collect dust! HOWEVER!!!!! After a long absence from collecting, last year I came across some pics of the Hot Toys ALIENS figures and something deep down inside me re awoke!!!! I HAD to have them, it's as though I felt that I owed it to my former self to have these things!

Like I said earlier, times have changed and I simply can't believe some of the ALIENS related items that have been/still are/soon to be available! I never would have thought that one day it would be possible to own a replica pulse rifle like the soon to be released HCG PR!! So it's official!!! I am collecting again!!!! looking forward to getting to know some of you guys! so much for just introducing myself! I have just waffled on! sorry, hope I have not broke some kind of rule about short introductions lol!

Here's a pic of me with Sigourney Weaver at the opening of ALIEN WAR at the Trocadero.

Welcome aboard new recruits!

Although I must say Alien Resurrection is much better than Alien3, but I'm biased since it was written by Joss Whedon...
