The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey guys,

I'm after a little advice... I have some props to spray paint and I need a primer, black matte and a clear coat spray... but before I start buying up just anything that says these words on the front does anyone here in the UK have any opinions on a good make or type of paint? Someone recommending something would be great.

I see this 'Krylon' spray mentioned a lot from the US guys but obviously I'm looking for a UK comparison product.

Cheers Marines! :)

Martin

I second Vallejo spray varnishes.

I use Vallejo Spray Varnish - 400ml Matt for my armour and other stuff. 8)

Ah cheers Marines! This helps a LOT, there's a GW down the road to me so I'll pop in there and take a look.

Nick and Steve -- where can I get the Vallejo sprays??

For a Primer I always used to get a can of Halfords car primer. It was acrylic based and when I sprayed the can the paint came out like a very fine mist and never spattered like alot of other brands.
