Anyone try to make one? Seem like a cool idea for keeping rampant Xenos inline. Looks like a cool prop build idea. Any decent photos out there? |

If the old grey matter still works didn`t we have them last year? Had light up tips too, though one got damaged. Jason |

I've been thinking about making one, just have to find the time. |

And this was posted in another thread a few months ago by Willie. ![]() Looks like the prod itself could be made from a few sections of metal piping. The handle and the tip could probably be machined out of aluminum. The box looks pretty nondescript, but the indicator lights will probably be vintage by now, and might be hard to find. |

Shouldn't be relativly easy to put together. Hard to tell from the photo's but for the connector between the box and currly cable, my first guess is an N Type RF connector. |

Would those connectors be available currently? |

Post subject: | |
Yes, still very common. Should be easily available. I'll see if I can find something online... |

We might be able to get mnoble or perhaps Matsuo to lathe out the grip and tip, and would probably be cheaper if we get more than one set done. |

Now, there must be others who, like me, are thinking how we can still make it look screen accurate but hide two probes in the tip to make it a functional prod. ![]() |

![]() Shouldnt damage the little bastard, unless Abe's skin is a lot thinner than ours. It will give him a little incentive. ![]() |

One silly question. I dont remember but why did they have cattle prods on Nostromo? Where they constructed by the crew to counter the Alien or where they dedicated to real burger creatures? /Jonsey |

Like the flamethrowers and tracker, the prods were built by Bret as a means of self defense against the ceature. |

A bit of a bump for this one... Does anyone have any idea what the detail parts are on the "battery boxes"? Specifically the three rectangular details with chamfered edges and two long slots. Getting ad ID on these parts would be great as they appear all over the place... on the flamethrowers, the refinery model and the large Nostromo miniature for starters. Tony |

No idea on those parts I'm afraid but I can say the the grey straps lying all over in some of the photo's above are standard '37 pattern webbing. |

Not sure on detail parts, but my work have electronic fly-swatters that are basically tennis-racquet shaped tasers in stock right now. Yay! MODDABLE! |

lol. I'm thinking a little higher voltage... It's time to put that stun gun I built to use. Given the size of the transformer, it'll fit better into a large prod. ![]() |

Meh, Abe had a sadistic physics teacher and likes to tinker inside CRT TV's with the power on. Besides, the rubber helps. ![]() |
