The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Nicely done! It's always cool to see people taking "old school" approaches to prop making.

Looks awesome. Amazing you did it out of wood and PVC. Just on a side note :) Was looking to make a screen accurate prop myself using airsoft(Figured it was the path of least resistance. No need to paint LOL)And it is actually kinda tough, because they used a sub-machinegun handle on the Ithaca shotgun in the movie so I haven't tried it. Figured I would have trouble fitting it.

That's some good work there HGBode, and it's great that you took the time to take some 'in-progress' shots of the build too, something that many of us builders forget to do!

HGBode is kicking ass with this stuff! I was impressed with the complexity of your motion tracker, but here it is the simplicity that is really awesome. I may have to try making one too!

Not that it would be as sturdy as wood, but you can get a fantastic "acid burn" effect using modelling glue on styrofoam. It eats right through the stuff.
