There are lots of production pictures of the equipment used by the marines in Aliens: Dropship, APC, PR, Motion Tracker - it's all there!
However, I only know of two images of the sentry guns that were taken during the production of Aliens! There are some pictures from the time after Aliens (Alien War, Propstore), but none showing this stuff in it's original condition. Do I miss something?

Are you asking if there are photos showing the sentry gun and battery before or during filming?

Yep, that's it!
And maybe a reason for the fact, that there are only those two pictures. Yesterday, I watched the Legacy DVD and again only those two pictures! Strange, isn't it? They build two unique and quite complex guns and there's no behind the scene footage on these, only two pictures and one production sketch.....

PS: Does anyone have closeup pictures of the battery (from Leicester) showing the side with the hinge?

I have one other photo.
It is very much like the 1st photo in Willie's thread, linked above.

It must have been taken just before (or after) the first photo as the only difference is that Cameron and the rest of the crew are looking in different directions.

Not sure where or when I found it, but it is a much smaller and less quality image then the photo posted by Willie.

And, like you mentioned (other then these few photos) I have never seen additional "on set" production photos, of the Sentry.

Considering they took photos of nearly every other prop
(on the white poster board w/ the stick ruler) you would think they would have done something similar with the Sentrys'...
