Post subject:  UKCM AVP:R DVD Promo
Last Friday, Darren, Paul, Preston, Abe and myself took a trip into London to promote the UK DVD release of AVP:R for 20th Century Fox.

We had a good trip around the sights of London, and the PR company even hired the disused platform and a train at Charing Cross tube station.

Today, I picked up the free papers. The PR woman insists our picture might be in a national paper tomorrow... maybe.

We were on page 3 of the London Lite today atleast:

It's only really mad when you realise that the UK is in the middle of a heatwave (most countries would call it "summer", but ours only lasts 10 days so we call it "the heatwave") and that the London Tube has no aircon!

Just saw an advert for the DVD on ITV2, with a Predator (didn't look tall enough to be Ian Whyte) and an Alien in an indoor football arena, looking a bit 'Gladiators TV show' style, similar to those weird Nike adverts.

The Predator kicks a football at the Alien 'goalie'.

The Alien leaps to the side to save the ball.

In the meantime, the Pred's shoulder cannon fires and blasts the Alien. :D

How DO the police react to Abe and Percy when youre out and about like this? suppose they dont mind do they?

That's Preston, Percy is our other Predator.

You'd be lucky to find a policeman on the streets, they're all busy doing paperwork etc.

We stopped and had a chat with a couple of police officers. They weren't bothered by it at all, quite interested actually.

I think Percy must have been in cloaked mode as the Predator in the video is Preston (apparently that's his name).
