The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

More Marines for the D-con!

Keep rolling with it. Good start!

I believe spat has newer (longer) leg guards.

Wow, that's a nice old set of Sparmor! Nice to see it hold up so well. What's the number inside the chest, if you don't mind me asking.

Here's one of mine (I'm not gonna be at DCon though):

Since that pic was taken the armour shoulders have been modded and the armour is currently being repainted in the SU camo pattern. 8)

Oh, and the shoulder lamp now works too. :)

Fantastic! Here is how I dress for Alien encounters-

Image

Kidding (well sort of  ).

Here is my current PIG gunner impression:

Image

This was at D-Con last year. This year won't be much different- except I will have an accurate Racal headset.

I also hope to have a bit better SFX for the PIG this year- maybe some sound hopefully.

Either host the images yourself on your own web space, or use somewhere like photobucket.

Then get the url of the image (making sure it ends in .jpg) and put that url in-between image tags:

[ img ]URLhere[ /img ] (without the spaces)

Should be at Dragoncon, sans armament!!!

Anyone got a feather duster or tickling stick I can borrow!

If the UK laws haven't banned them by August! :)

Not to sound facetious but has the UK banned flamethrowers as well?

Seriously- the Canadian Marines have the same problem in that we can't take a chance bringing a PR across the border- however Airborne Mike has flown with his flamethrower to D-Con and back.

It's also partly why I made my Phased Infantry Gun replica- as far as I know there is no ban on sci-fi weapons that look like rocket launchers here.

I actually don't know Kev.

But given the current climate, the fact that it looks even vaguely gun like will probably be enough to have it confiscated / destroyed.

Don't really want to take the risk.

Don't worry, the Brits will be bringing plenty of 'harsh Language!' :)

Totally understandable!

Perhaps some of the US Brothers could maybe bring a spare weapon or two.

That was me at D-Con '06. Driving on the highway with Scott (falken108) for over an hour I turn to him an say... I forgot my helmet.

But I still had my Sulaco cap and picked up a makeshift headset in a truckstop along the way.

Image

Back then I still wore armour... and uhh... sleeves.
