The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Looks great. Very clean castings. The spulse has come a very long way!

Is this thing based on a Matsuo PR at all? The grips and barrel vents look familiar.

Very nice casting. Do you know when these will be available
for purchase?

Any chance in the future of a version without the M1A1 parts
built in (so people could put a airsoft in) or with a seperate
SPAS grip?

Thanks,
J.B.

Thanks everybody!

These are available now, though there is a back log of old orders that have been waiting for a kit for a while. So once I get through those, I can make and ship out the new orders.

Keep in mind that there is an increase in the price due to the cost of making the new molds. So now the kit will be $250 plus shipping, but all the kits will come with the LED counter. And the LED counter will slip right into place in the kit. It's pretty sweet.

Honestly, I've never really seen a Matsuo kit up close, only in pics. But I do like the way his rifles look, and I do like the way his grips continue to the back of the shroud, so I added that feature on these. On the MK II, the back of the grip part was short, and it was hard to attach it to the shroud because there was no room to put screws in there. So this fixes that.

As far as attaching this to an airsoft, you would have to holllow out the shroud, drill out the barrel, and do a lot of work to the stock to make it work. I honestly don't see it being worth it. There are kits out there that are made to fit onto an airsoft, and those would be your best bet.

Yeah, well the sad part is that I suck at building and painting kits, so the one that I make will look like crap, even with the quality of the kit. So I've sent the first pull to get assembled by a professional so that the completed rifle will do the kit justice.

More I look at that the more I'm thinking ' Gotto get one of those again' which brings me onto my question:

What's the state of play with this new RIF legislation that's now here in the UK. Can you say buy a PR kit like this one of Spat's ( which i would be sorely tempted to do in time ) and get it through ok ' as long as , ahem, errr, it stays in it's kit form and then you don't turn build the thing and make it look like a RIF?

Just wondering cause I've apparently won this Imperial Toys VP-70 via Doc's lil competition thing so wondering what to do next.

Cheers

The two parts of Spat's kit that will come under scrutiny are the Thompson lower receiver and the SPAS cage sections.

If the legislation is anything similar to what we have here (and from what I've read it's practically identical) these two sections could be considered components for a replica.

It's a real catch 22 situation- the Pulse Rifle as a completed unit does not resemeble an existing firearm (which should satisfy the legislation that it is not a replica), however broken down certain parts do. In the same breath- the kit probably stands a better chance of getting through disassembled (but don't quote me on this as it is taking a chance at best  ).

Safest bet is to contact an official providing pictues of the kit, and ask if it is ok to import.

And I never thought I'd hear myself say this...

But it looks awesome Spat! Very well done! Like Russ said, blows the last Spulse out of the water! :D

Wow, Spat! That is sweet! Actually, there is so much sweetness here I don't know where to start.

Looks like I know where my next $250 (plus shipping ) is being spent!

I'd definately contact a pro in customs and ask because with the way this kit looks I'm sure you're going to get a lot of orders from the UK. Especially with the exchange rate right now.

Disassembled....I can't see a problem. Of course it won't show up on any x-rays so maybe taking some back after DC08 would work.

Anyway......I can't wait to see the assembed pictures.
