Hey guys, I am probably going to order a helmet from spat pretty soon ![]() Do normal one's fit with some cuts in the fabric or do I have to custom-make a cover? I know FNG had a helmet cover, and was wondering who else does. Any pics of your helmet covers would be highly appreciated. |

Well I got the Helmet cover. But still have to order the Arnor from Spat. I did get the cover from MAA over at scifimilitary.com It will take some modifying to get around the camera and the speaker mod. Nice product. |

It will take some modifying to get around the camera and the speaker mod. Nice product. The MAA one fits the M1 helmet fine. ![]() I just punched two tiny holes in the cover and screwed the camera back on top of it. Here it is with some wear and tear added: ![]() ![]() The tip to fitting it is to dampen the cover and stretch it over the helmet while still wet, then allow it to dry on there and it'll fit good. ![]() Some people cut it around the earpiece top, but I left it alone. If you really want those armor plates to show up from under the helmet cover, you have to hit those edges with some sandpaper. Not too much, but enough to wear the fabric down and make it look like it's been on the helmet forever. Just my .02 |

Awesome thread, guys. I picked up a helmet cover from MAA as well and was wondering how I was going to attach the camera. I like the sandpaper tip, Spat. I definitely will give mine the weathering treatment. |
