The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sweet as. I've just managed an old Dinky Pak 38 50mm for £4, but that doesn't match your win.

Assimlate,
I got my pin-hole camera from a "five & dime" dealer at a gun show...real cheap, $30 USD and it came with a 4 channel receiver. The camera is 9v battery operated and includes sound hookup, although I haven't found a small enough mike for it yet. I've also run across some of these at the "junk" shops in the Korean sector...so you might want to check in there if you have those types of pl;aces in the UK. Good Luke with your build.

If you're getting a real M-1 steel helmet then get yourself some good hardened drill bits and a decent grinder when you come to attack it - don't forget the goggles either

.. unless you get ahold of a replica M1 steel helmet, which if you do have one cuts easily with a standard Dremel cutting wheel like a hot knife through butter. 8)

A real man uses a hacksaw.

It will only take three weeks, 18 blades and two hacksaws

Cute...

But I wasn't kidding- I used a hacksaw to cut mine.
