With the arrival of the Unreal Engine 3.X, stunning visuals are within reach for making a realtime, functional representation of the LV-426 colony, aswell as it's hardware. Planning on doing a Total Conversion for years, I now set out on a mission: building the TC bit by bit. I have a vast folder of reference material concerning Aliens, Predators and Marine hardware, but I'm always hungry for more. Thing that I miss the most is a detailed layout of the colony, aswell as blueprints of the structure itself, needed to accurately re-create the structures. (Hell, even the famous hallway is hard to do without proper understanding of the layout/system.) So, what I'm asking for is: who has high quality shots of the structures, hallways, designs and blueprints? Would like to see them to make this dream and showcase come true. With kind regards, Nol |

Thanks Dropshipbob. It shows the general layout fairly well, but what I'm really looking for is construction plans, much like in the USCM Techmanual somewhere in the back end. Mostly because the infamous hallway/corridor doesn't quite fit the general layout, aswell as I have a hard time figuring out how the components of the structure are fit together (hexagon modules and trapezoid modules) with their interior... |

Not sure how much help it will be, but getting a nice screen grab or 5 from the scene where Hicks is showing Ripley the functions of the Pulse Rifle. From that you can get a nice outline of the whole colony. I used to have one I put together but........I've no idea where it is now. You can do the same thing from the floor plan they go through right before and after they zoom in. Also you may wish to contact this gentleman. http://aliens.humlak.cz/aliens/aliens_papirove_modely_gb.htm He has created from scratch 3D papercraft models of most of the colony. I know how detailed they are because I've printed and built them myself. I think he would be of great help. |
