The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello All,
I am currently looking for "official" PR Ammo.
I have seen several types on the Net so I am not sure which one is correct.
Regards,
Svenza

As only the pulse rifle grenades were shown in the movie, there is no official ammo for either the pulse rifle (except for the grenades) or the smartgun.

Cheers,
Stefan

Matsuo makes great PR and smartgun ammo. I'd go with him.

Seems to me that when Hicks was showing Ripley how to reload the M41A, there was a brief instant when you could see the top of the mag, and some sort of "round" in there.

Maybe someone can get a screenshot?

When I remodeled my Marco PR, I made the clip so that it could be filled with ammo. I did this using some of Matsuo's PR bullets.

Yeah well whoever's got them enjoy them.
I've discontinued them because they are more trouble than they are worth. I won't go into specifics, suffice to say aside from being a pain to assemble, foreign postal authorities frown on bullet looking thingies, especially when they come in a box that says they are real when they are not, despite disclaimers and labels to the contrary.

Current orders notwithstanding of course, I don't plan on making any more.

I can still do empty boxes for shelf dressing though.

Also note that the caseless rounds that I've made are in no way 'cannon', there are a lot of different takes on the subject and this was mine.
Any glimpses of rounds shown on screen were the actual .45 cal blanks used in the prop guns . They had no intention of showing their supposed caseless rounds on screen and anything seen should be taken at face value.

And they just quadrupled in value! 8)

I might be interested in a box to put my own brew of them in. :)
