The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The other parts you need are specifically:

Gen 1 Megatron scope (eyepiece and middle section)
Olympus T-28 Macro Flash, including the "shoe" fitting
Vivitar 2500 flash unit (just the blue ring from the hinge)
Beyerdynamic HM560 headset and mic combo

The first three are pretty easy to find, although the Olympus flash unit is a tad expensive. Finding the Beyer headset is gonna be the hard part, I'm still looking for one myself.

Speaking of those blue discs from the flash, how do I remove those things? I am having a lot of trouble getting that done without breaking anything.

Thanks! That definitely helps.

Once I get those out, I should be close to assembling my headset once my kit comes in. I have a G1 Megatron cannon and the Olympus flash. However, instead of mounting all that to a Beyerdynamics headset, I am going to eventually mount it to my M1 helmet.

You can get the Vivitar flash for like ten-fifteen bucks, Geordi. It's the Olympus flash that's expensive :)

Yeah, mine ran $99. :x

I see the Olympus T28 flashes sold as twin packs pretty often. A couple of people could get in on that one.

Not really. You'd get two flash bodies, but you'd only get one of the shoe fitting which clips the power cable to whatever power unit you're using on the camera. You need that shoe fitting for the part that connects the swivel fitting on the Olympus flash to the eyepiece stalk.

As a matter of fact, I do have one.... vivitar flash comes with 2, hehe. Don't worry about buying it from me, only question is getting it to you. You live in the UK, right? Shoot me a PM sometime.

Does anybody want to share one of the two bodies of the Olympus T28 flash unit wiht me?. We might purchase it together paying half of the total amount each. Please, PM me if you are interested.

On the other hand, could any owner of a Olympus T28 flash unit be able to cast it in resin?. I'm sure a lot of us would be interested on purchasing it.

Reyero, please READ ABOVE! Going "halfs" on a double flash unit will not help you. You'll get two flash bodies, yes, but you'll only get one of the "shoe" fittings - the fitting that connects the power cable to the power unit - which is what you use to attach the Olympus flash to the eyepiece stalk.

So, to reiterate, DO NOT go halfs on a double flash unless one of you can mold and cast a second copy of the shoe fitting!

*EDIT* Also, while a resin casting of the olympus flash would be awesome, it would be a bitch to get the swivel joint working right... ball-bearing detents and the like. I've asked about that kind of thing before, believe me! :)

I know it had to have been someone on this board, but I want to be sure. If it IS someone in this community, go ahead and raise your hand... I don't want to outbid again and drive the price up. If I don't get a response in a day or so I'm going to start bidding again.

I'm a little fuzzy with the YOU KNOW WHAT.com policies on this forum outside of not linking to active auctions, by the way, so Mods if I'm out of line talking this way please let me know!
