The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Post subject: Colonial Marine armor made by Hi-Impact for sale
PostPosted: Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:01 am
We made these a while back as part of the Dropzone Copernicus project but they were never put together. Rather than collect dust in my garage, I'd like them to find homes where they'll be finished and appreciated. I have five sets of armor (not including helmet) available. Please PM me for pricing information.

This is a one-time deal and I don't anticipate offering any more sets in the future. Each kit includes the 18 different parts that make up the body and leg armor. Parts are vacformed styrene plastic for light weight and have been rough trimmed. Also included with each kit are detailed trim/sand/assembly instructions.

The armor fits people from 6'2" to 5'4", 230lbs to 110lbs. It all depends on how you trim the individual pieces.

This is what a finished set of armor looks like, trimmed to fit a size 38R. The kit does not include helmet parts or BDU.

A closeup shot of the finished armor so you can see some of the fine detail. The part detail is 90-95% correct.

It's hard to see fine detail on black parts but at least you can see each individual part.

Thanks Derek; response sent.

Oh, one clarification: the vinyl cod piece is not included either, but that's a pretty easy item to sew yourself.
