I should point out however, that unless you are a museum, historical re-enactor, bona fide Airsoft skirmisher or other exempt party, importing or building any of these options is now illegal in the UK.

Yes, even the paper one.

Oh, you've GOT to be joshin' me!!! It's PAPER!!!

No joshing at all; you'd be manufacturing something that could look, to the layman, like a firearm, which is how the law decides what is and isn't a 'Realistic Imitation Firearm'.

Slam two bits of pipe together and it becomes a shotgun, technically speaking, in the eyes of the law. Which is where this particular act of parliament falls down...

This is the reason Im never going to but together a USCM costume :( As much as Id love to, I dont see the point of owning armor without being able to own a pulse rifle also . . . . stupid laws!!!!

Doesn't matter; they can't legally sell him one unless he is exempt from the Act or has a Specific Defence, unfortunately.

I say go out skirmishing a few times... You'll love it really! Plenty of sites in Wales too.

Marines, who's to say jedimike7622 lives in the UK? Maybe where he lives, it's OK to build papercraft USCM accessories.
Mike, I suggest you do check out the link that Rook supplied. You would pleasantly surprised at the neat props you can make with paper. Do post some pics with your results.

I've tried that logic... but she's a Therapist. She knows my psychology too much to fall for it.

I tried to tell her that a $200 cashmere Captain Jack Harkness longcoat from Torchwood *is* a gift for her... but still no go.

There's an option to enter your location in the profile section. I'd encourage all members to fill it in so that we don't have any country or state specific confusion in future.

im especially looking for cheap options for a vp-70 and USCM armor.
as for a PR, i looked at the one at www.spatcave.com, and the one thing i didnt like was the fact that the counter doesnt "count" down... slightly disappointing.

A PR with an LED ammo counter is going to bring your cost up, and one that counts down (usually with sound effects) is going to cost you even more... yet you are looking for inexpensive. I don't think you can have it both ways.

Why can't you have it both ways? I once bought a set of Terry English armour for £6.78, and a screen used Hero Pulserifle for £4.50. They wanted £6.00 but I thought it was a bit too expensive.

By the way, some or all of what I just said may not be entirely true.
