The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all

I have a few bits and pieces laying around that I thought I might as well clear out and so am offering them for sale, details below each pic.

Image

This is a 25 capacity box for holding all your M40 grenades. This is one of the MTM Casegard boxes which has been painted OD and had decals applied. However, please note that although this is from the same company and is the same model as the ones used in the film unfortunately the design of the boxes has been "tweaked" by the manufacturers. It is still pretty close and is the only version now available anyway.

SOLD

Image

This is part of the Reflecta lamp assembly. It is the larger piece of housing which you find at the front of the lamp. The bottom of this was used to create the seventh vent on the shoulder lamps. There is also some grilling inside this which I intend to use as part of motion tracker. (not this one though, I have another :) )

WITHDRAWN

Image

This is an electric blowback Fn 5.7 pistol as used in the new TV series of Battlestar Gallactica. It comes with one of the launchers that was made by our very own Matsuo. Please note this is not a great airsoft gun and really is only useful as a prop. there is also some scratches on the right front side of the upper receiver.

Included with this is also another launcher

SOLD

Lastly I have a Resin Pulse Rifle Grip from Phil Steinschneider.

SOLD

PM me or post here if interested.

Cheers

Just a quick question about cultural differences... across the pond we say "Odds & Ends"... but isn't "sod" a vulgar word over there?

Simon, you're absolutely right, you were before me with the grenade box.
Darn, pipped twice in ten minutes!!!! Gaaaarrr!

Darren, please give me second dibs on the grenade box as well as the pistol, in case... I don't know... the other guys have a skiing accident and have to have their arms amputated... or something...

Actually, that was a really horrible thing to say, sorry guys! But it was funny so i'll leave it on

Dom; you're absolutely correct, the correct expression is 'Odds and Ends' but slang has abbreviated/mutated it into 'Odds and Sods'. Don't ask me why!! And yes, it is vulgar, so please stop saying it as you're offending our Queen. Actually, that's not true; our Queen say's 'sod' more than my local butcher...

its the 'stacked metal plates' bit that went around where the MG42 barrel sticks out on the very front of the housing.
I already have one here from Matt, can't see any part that fits on a tracker though?

Wonder if Propstore would want it to acurize their SG?

I think there is some grill work that would suit the section where the chuck was on the kango.

On my MRMT its diamond mesh pattern, the lamp housing however has small punched round holes.

I haven't actually looked at the mesh on a screen used MT, I just thought it would be good to use there and was thinking that maybe they had thought the same. Until I see some pics I wont know for sure though.

I had no idea about the sentry gun thing, probably cos I've never looked too much into making one. Might hang on to the Reflecta housing now.

Cheers

The mesh used in the Trackers was the diamond pattern aluminium stuff that Cider-winder mentioned. It looks like the stuff you get with fibreglass repair kits in car accessory shops.

Thanks for clearing that up Harry. Looks like I wont be using the Reflecta mesh on my MT when I eventually get around to making it after all.

Cheers
