The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Has anyone else lost their little compartment door on the Motion Tracker? I ask because I lost mine at the Con, and "Hollis was not there to catch it on the bounce and recover it during the sweep." Contacted MR but they have no spare parts ... so I was thinking I could easily cast some spares up, especially if some others might need the part as well. I could cast it in black so no painting. I would need someone to send me theirs though, so I could get a cast. The original will be left intact, BTW.

If not, no biggie. I have black duct tape over it now and I guess it just goes along with my general distressed, beat up and worn look.

VBR,
Chris

I have the part coming form Derek/USCM Grunt, so I'm good.

Yeah, I meant to glue mine as well but it was one of those things I forgot to do.

TKS guys.

Chris

Mine came off in 05, Jesse taped it back on
It then came off in 06, Dom glued it back on.

Now I just don't fiddle with it

This is why my MT never leaves the display case.

(Except when I take it out and run around the house with it, looking for aliens in the ceiling).

Sarge, there are no Aliens in your ceiling.

Trackers are good for colony drop sweeps. Marines don't care if they bang up their equipment. That's why we have duct tape.

I weathered my tracker with a Silver Sharpie and it got additional distressing at the Con that blends right in... looks well used and abused.

Hey, I think there is something ... moving around up there!

VBR,
Chris

little compartment door

Are you talking about the self timer box?

If the MR is based on real parts, would an actual door from a timer box fit in it's place?

Geordi, when I have it done I'll wing one your way.

I figured I was not the only one.

Also, emailed MR and let them know I will be making spares in case anyone else asks.

Chris

So should I go ahead and glue this door shut on mine? A little preumptive maintenance?
