The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

This is from the archives. I'm not certain who created it. It's intended to be printed on transparency paper I believe, and the bottom layered over the top.

If the creator wants the image pulled, let me know.

Some of the guys at DragonCon got to see the prototype lens. It's gorgeous! Still no idea on price for it, and, as usual, it won't come in kit form. But there will be upgrades available for if you want one added to your SpHelmet.

We also have some other new additional stuff coming for the armor, some new items just being added to the armor at no extra charge, and some new options coming.

But more on that later and in another thread.

Anyone who saw the sight at Dragon who wants to comment about it, feel free! If you remember seeing it, we were all pretty drunk that weekend!

With some long time reasearch and the valuable input from someone who owns a screen used helmet, I posted this drawing some time ago.

Perhaps it will once again help those wishing to create an accurate IR sight.

The reading magnifier option, I believe, was FNG's original idea.
His website has instructions on how to do it.

It will be the same size as the screen used ones, but the graphic and frame will be modified slightly so no one can claim it as screen used.

BUT, I will be using a different mechanism for sliding it down and making it light up. The movie version is great for what it is, but it's a but too easy to muck up for me.

And I'll be using LED's instead of Incandescents. Also, the graphic will be laser etched.

I honestly don't know when they will be ready. This is something I don't want to rush, so when it's ready it will be ready, if you know what I mean.

Thanks! I'll change the filename in my archives to reflect the source. I stared doing that over a year ago so I could keep strait who did what. :)

When you have it put together Spat, I'll take one. You make quality costuming props and I'm certain this sight will join the long list of Spat "Dresser of Nerds" fine USCM costuming accessories.

It looks like he has made some mods to the site and removed the 1:1 stuff.

Had to go archive.org to find the proper page.
