The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

 Man that's incredible and there was me thinking of saving for a set of T.E. one day and now I can have the same look for a tiny fraction of the price!

 Who are these people and why do they insist on making utter crap from plastic!?!?

People like this out to make a few bucks from garbage should be hung by their shorter hairs IMHO.

I don't think it does. Nobody is _really_ slagging off on another site per sae.

Just a roundhouse humor discussion.

Dom, what's the story with that armor on your site? Is it a custom sculpt or something else?

A pull from a real set? Some parts look nice and sharp, some have soft detail.

@ eBay: That helmet looks REEEEALLY comfortable... if you have a head like Sloth from the Goonies. :) But come on! It's now GREEN! You can't go wrong with the color green!

Long story about that armour.... It was originally a fiberglass copy of a Terry English, recast in something like 1988 or so... the original buyer bought it for something like $2000 CDN at the time. When it arrived to him, it was smashed beyond wearing... A few years ago, it was loaned to someone who claimed they could fix it... but didn't. The so-called "fixer" gave up and promptly emptied a few mags of airsoft into it, damaging it even more.

What you see now was pieced together and new molds were made from it. I'm not using the word recast, because it literally was in pieces.

Is it vacced, or fiberglass again?

Wow, 2K for a fiberglass pull. That's crazy stuff man. But we have almost 20 years of time between then and now.

Heck, in 1988 you probably could have gotten a suit of TE armor for about that much!

Man, I love how the interwebnet-O-tron has helped the hobbyist!

Access to cool toys is only an e-mail away now. :)
Thanks for sharing the story Dom.
