The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sixty, you are a star!!!

But, how the hell are you going to fit your soldering iron into the Pulse to keep the batteries straight?

Anyway, if you could see it in your heart to advise me of which amp you've used; Maplins seem to have loads! Amps, pre-amps... I'm confused!

Also, I thought it would be easy to find a simple small speaker on the maplins.co.uk site, but NO there are loads of different ones. Gibber.

Thanks in advance!

Phil.

P.S.- Nice rug...

Right oh, here's my plan.

Toyed with the idea of having it all self contained in the M41-A. Even in my resin rifle, there wouldn't be enough space to fit parts to make it loud enough to hear over shouting, never mind the number of batteries required to get the amp up to 15V...

What I've opted for instead (and I did toy with the FM transmitter idea for a while!) is to run a female 3.5mm jack from the AspEng board, down the inside of my M41-A pistol grip. From there, a lead running down my arm, covered either by shirt sleeves or bandages and skin coloured surgical tape will run back to the amp, battery packs and speakers in my webbing.

This will enable me to have as big a battery pack, amp and speakers as will fit in my '58 pattern webbing, which should be quite a substantial setup.

I also figured out where that speaker came from; eBay, of all places. It was a truck radio speaker. I'll be taking something bigger into the AE with me...

As for the amp, I didn't use any preamp etc., just this amp:

Works a treat at 15V with decent speakers.

Sounds good, Sixty. I'll have to have a good nose at NSC. All this electronics stuff is beyond me :?

Cheers Sixty! If that's the amp you recommend, then that's the amp I'll buy.

I accept your challenge to fit everything in the Pulse. I'm not worried about having it as a working airsoft, so I'll happily remove any firing gubbins that get in the way.

Any advice on which speaker to get? I don't trust the advise of some spotty 17 year old Maplin worker!

You better ask Scapey then, he's all mature and married AND he works at Maplin!

My local Maplins is full of the same teenage staff.

Trying to get all the right gear to light my shoulder lamp is taking longer than expected, due to mis-ordered items and no knowledge of what fits what at all. :?
