The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Post subject: Motion Tracker Pump Auction to raise funds LAST ONE!
PostPosted: Mon Jul 30, 2007 7:28 pm
As many of you will know, a while back myself and a colleague discovered the MT pump and were trying to get a bulk order for these, sadly we are unable to do so, thus putting us in a situation of not enough pumps for those that want them (there are guys here. UKG and RPF asking), a little dissapointed in what to do I've kinda put them on the back burner for a while

After dwelling on this for ages and a good conversation with Harry I've decided that the best option would be to have seperate auctions for the ones that I do have available and to put any monies raised into refurbishing my workshop for future projects.

I know this is what some would not want but having discussed this with the "H" and going over current financial situations (having sold many costumes lately) the main area for me is the workshop which contains tools and pieces that have seen better days, so the chance to replace some without affecting the home bank balance seems the best option. Its also the fact that if I were to send/sell the limited ones that I do have (7) to certain individuals then it would not be fair so a series of auctions seem to be the best way all round.

anyway

pump #1 is up now

Hope you all understand the situation. Good luck with the bidding and if you miss out, look for another shortly

Thanks

Alex

Alex

I just noticed on the ones that are being listed on Ebay that there is a backing plate on the widget. Mine did not come with this and I was just wondering if you know if it is in anyway needed for the motion tracker, I'm guessing it isn't but what about the screws that hold the plate to the widget etc?

Not moaning, just curious :)

Cheers

Hi Darren

no problem... with the help of Harry we deducted that the plate or connection base between the gauge and drill was more likely custom made which is why the one you have was ready removed as it was part of the complete MT kit, I've simply left them on for the rest of them (all i've removed is the measurement screen) I do have the plate and screws in the workshop from yours and can dig them out ready for when we start rehearsing the AE if you want them mate.

drop me a PM

:D
