The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Armor, check.

2PAT BDUs, check.

Shoulder lamp, check.

Pulse Rifle, negative.

I'm at a complete stopping point, guys. After WEEKS of trying to figue out where to start, what to do, etc. I still have NO idea what I'm doing. I can't figure out how to attach the grenade launcher. I'm three days away from making my first official combat drop at a local con and I haven't done jack s**t. I need help, guys.

I'm at the point of desparation and frustration. I got so frustrated, I actually put a screwdriver through my workbench.

I wish I had the time to mail it back.

I drop in three days (24 August 2007 - 26 August 2007). If I can just figure out how to get the GL attached, everything else will be smooth sailin'.

Here's the grenade launcher. This section screws into the receiver... or at least it's supposed to.

Here's where I'm pretty sure I've gotta drill.

That's one of my older GL's I believe. There are holes on the under side of the GL to allow a screwdriver passage.

You need 1/2 inch spacers which should have been in there originally, between the GL and the receiver block.

Assuming the barrel vent is still attached you need to slide the unit onto the barrel and mark the holes for the screws. pre drill them being careful not to over drill which will cause the screws to wobble out and strip.

I'm assuming the barrel mag tube and barrel block have been pulled out?

PM me if you need me to call you on the telephone....too bad we don't have video conferencing. :D

You can say that again, brother. It's exactly what we need here.

Those half inch spacers are around somewhere. If I can't find 'em, though, should I make some and if so, what would you suggest using?

- EDIT -

Okay, I've found the spacers. PM sent, Matt.

If you guys have Webcams and MSn, you CAN do video conferencing. :)

Well, guys, I got a call from Matsuo and he saved the day. My PR is, now, back to normal and everything is lookin' good.

Now all I gotta do is prep the armor for my shoulder lamp and I'll be ready for my first official combat drop.
