it goit exploited and took down the board so gareth removed it and is working on fixing it

Yes, there was a published exploit/hack that allowed people access to where they shouldn't be.
Gareth luckily had a backup of the site that was unaffected and removed the chat feature until
such time as the problem is fixed.
