The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Are you going to modify the mouth to open, Joe? Or leave it like this?

i thinking about leaving the closed jaw but put a clear dome on the head to see the skull inside just like the first Alien movie , cause this costume is base on the first Giger xeno ( and making the skull inside the head ) the head is made from fibreglass and resin . that's gonna be heavy :o

VERY looking forward to seeing a clear dome Xeno. This was my favourite Xeno type. Bonne chance, Joe!

Here’s a little update

I noticed in my package that I had two right thighs…
Image

Right and left rear thighs

Right and left tibias (we see here the diminished quality between the two sides)

Image

Right and left calves

Image

So, I saw that I have the double of the same side of a front thigh, therefore I had to make a left side based on what I had. So, I made a clay sculpture of the left thigh.

Preparations for molding (with a wall to contain the plaster)

A small layer of releaser.

The plaster negative.

After applying my first layer of latex, here is the 2nd coat with some cheese cloth to give it more rigidity.

The latex I used is RD-407; the colour is grey because I added black Creatx paint to it.

Here is the result of the casting of the left thigh.

Right.

Left.

From eBay, I bought a $60 motorcycle dorsal protector which I will wear below the spandex, to which I will affix plastic tubes to retain the four pipes in the back, the upper ones as well as the tail. So, it looks like this:

I tried loads of bike back protectors - all the ones that were long enough to be useful to mount the tail to didn't really fit me ... that one looks good though!

That's one of Halo1's kits from Singapore, right? Never seen a build of one of those before. Thanks for the photos - great work.

the guy who sold me the xeno suit told me it's coming from Singapore... but you just give me the answer of my question who made this suit :)

i've tried to find the source from where it was coming from .

for the motorcycle back plate protector, i have to cheat on the position. i have to shift it down little bit to tie the on the bottom of the plate , and extend the strap on the shoulders .

for this costume , i have to remake the hands because they are way to big for me lol
and reduce the other parts of the costume

thanks for the comments and follow this thread

Joe

Cool - I might investigate back protectors again!

You can see photos from Halo_1's sculpt/build in this old thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2454

One of these days I'll be visiting Singapore again and need to see about getting one of these kits.
