The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Got a pic? Usually a cover has weird flappy things on it which fold onto the inside, then a liner is put back in to "mold" it into shape.

hm sorry no pic right now, but yeah the camo cover has the flaps etc that i assumed tucked into the inside then you place the liner back in to seal it, but its still odd shaped and loose. hudsons looks all tight (can even see the front panel edges cos its so tight). any tips?

I have the same problem. :D

The cover also seems to 'cover' the camera and earpiece too. :?

Just saw the guide (and got a PM about it from MAA), so I now know how to do it. :)

Still needs some work to get it around the earpiece and camera though.

many thanks eagle, but it is infact a pic of the calendar grid graffiti that hudson has on the front of his helmet that im after. i remember seeing a really clear pic of it a short time ago online with a detailed explanation of it too somewhere. cant for the life of me remember where though :(

PVB, take the camera off, put the cover over the helmet, punch two holes in the cover where the screws go then before you put the helmet inner back in screw the camera back on! no need to cut around the camera just put it ontop of the cover! easy!

That's Steve Radler's site.

Steve used to be a member here (on the old board at least), not sure if he still is though.

<Goes to look at helmet>

The camera is screwed onto the outer, so I can take it off as you say. :)

Runs tap to wet cover. 8)

Done it. :)

I now have damp thighs on my jeans. :oops: :roll: :lol:

Got a measuring tape tied around it at the moment, but will hunt out a bit of elastic during the week to give the finishing touch. 8)

Very nicely done. :)

I'm thinking about keeping the measuring tape on mine, to give it a quirky vibe. 8)

Here it is anyway:
