The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So I guess it the same deal, same hotel and stuff.

The hotel hasn't been confirmed yet, so you might want to hold off booking for the moment.

What are the chances of them wanting a crazy American to come over and host some panels on making costumes, props, masks and other crazy things?

The flights are actually pretty cheap if you book enough in advance.

So my big expenses would be admission to the event and a hotel. So being a guest would help out those problems pretty well.

:)

Also, is there anyone on the guest list yet? I looked around and couldn't find anything.

Yeah, the budget for the event is relatively limited and doesn't stretch to long distance flights.

We'd love to have you here Spat don't get me wrong. :)

Actually, I was saying that I would cover the flight, and be looking for you guys to cover admission, and find a way to help out with a hotel.

See you there then hopefully :) If your getting yourself here then I would think the rest could be sorted out for sure.

It would be great if you could do a Q&A and/or demo of the work you do.

As Darren said I am sure we (I) can cover the hotel and ticket if you wanted to come along and join the fun.

Talks and demos would be great matey, the public love anything extra, so if we can programme in something on both days that would be great.

As to guests... we are working on it, but budgets are tight (wave charity flag here) so flying some of the guys over from America and paying the high fees I have been asked for is not easy.

Is it just an Aliens Con, or are you looking for other sci-fi actors as well?

It's all Sci-fi, but we have a really heavy sway to Aliens (Harry's collection, Terry, UKCM, Alien Encounter etc.)

At the moment there are a couple of possibles from Sci-fi, but the Aliens guys are all being shy or expensive!

Ta
Looks like I'll have me a more relevant costume this time.

Scapey has gratiously donated his flightsuit and matching lid. Patches to be sewn on soon too. So, although not terribly screen acurate (on acount of my boots) I'll be in gear this time :D

I'm well up for attending this and am very interested in helping out somehow.

I do artwork if you can think of anything...

Poster artwork a speciality... ;) ;)

At the moment I can't commit but I'm going to pull-out all the stops for this. Having seen the Alien Encounters DVD, this should be fun! :)

Poster thread continued here: http://forum.alienslegacy.com/viewtopic.php?t=2432

How about some recruiting posters for behind the table?
AFAIK, we're still short of a backdrop.
Why not turn the table into a mockup recruiting station?
( And I'll buy one of the posters from you for MY wall after the event ;) )

Here's a deal:

Whether I make it or not, I'll donate x10 Pulse Rifle Posters - charge what you wish, and all proceeds to the UKCM's nominated charity. :)
