| Post subject: | Shoulder lamp tutorials |
Hi all I am currently working on my new shoulder lamp which I am making from the original parts. I have posted up a new tutorial in addition to the one for converting the Reflecta lamp on my website. The final 2 sections will follow as I complete the lamp. Just thought some of you might be interested in seeing it as it progresses. http://www.friendly-skies.co.uk/Shoulderlamptutorials.html A big thankyou goes to Steve (DATA) for his help on modifying the handle and to Matt Noble also. Cheers Darren |

Indeed, 6 hours of fun. I have got a box now yes, thanks to Osmotic. I have stripped it down but have not yet made the plasticard parts or made any other mod's to it. I have ordered several of matsuo's parts to complete the kit. I.e. the arm, front plate and extra vent for the reflecta plus the threaded bars. Just little custom parts like that. I would love to find the original arm pieces that were used. Like yourself I think they were most likely photographic equipment for holding flashes or umbrellas etc. It looks to me like 2 of the same pieces have been used and then one has been extended slightly to be longer than the other. Guys.. what, no love over here? Sweet tutorial Darren. In fact the whole site is looking sharp. And... You did buy an entire Reflecta lamp, correct? If so, you already have/ had the "7th vent". |

Thanks for the comments guys. TS826, I know about the 7th vent being part of the larger Reflecta lamp housing but figured it was easier to just use one of Matt's as it is still made from metal and accurate enough. Now that I am making one from most of the original parts I may reconsider this and will amend the Reflecta tutorial if I do. Probably I should add a note about it wether I do or not of course, just for informations sake. Cheers Darren |
