This 28" wide 1:1 scale photo was taken at Bapty's in London during the creation of the ALIENS Pulse Rifle in 1985. The subject is the 10 hole vent hero Pulse Rifle prop. The photo is black and white and shows the left side only. It has been scanned from the original 2 piece photo and carefully spliced together by one of the forum's expert graphic artists.

I have 5 of these available.

The price will be $49.95 plus shipping costs (cardboard tube and postage ~$8 in the US).

Is the writing at the bottom of your replica on the original item?

Russ,

Yes it is. I thought about re-doing the text in a fancy font to clean it up but decided against it.

Here is the other side on a prop collectors site:

And two other images I no longer own (bottom and front views).

Really? Looks like a replica to me, it's the wrong colour for a start, right?

Yeah sorry, that was a bit obvious wasn't it!

That Pulse Rifle in Dan's link was signed by Michael Beihn at the UK 'London Film & Comic Con' in November 2004 and was put on eBay by Jason Joiner later that month.

This from the eBay description:

Quote:
an original screen used prop Pulse Rifle Used during filming of the 1986 James Cameron sci-fi blockbuster Aliens.
This great piece of film memorabilia is made of fibre glass resin and was used during stunts and action scenes. It is still in excellent condition with all the parts intact. There is some minor wear to the item, but considering it is nearly 20 years old and the amount these props were used this is hardly suprising!

Sorry to pull this thread off topic slightly. Normal service has now been resumed. ;)

No, as far as I know the PR pictured in my post above isn't original. I could be wrong of course, but I'm 95% certain.

The screen used ones were Brown Bess, plus there are a few other 'tells' that the originals have which this one doesn't.

I've got one of these Bapty prints and must say it turned out far better than I had imagined. Thanks for offering these, Dan. It's truly a great item for anyone that would like to add a little extra historical value to a collection. :D

Russ, you mentioned something about the handwriting at the bottom. This is an extremely nice touch. I'm not sure who's handwriting it is. Perhaps Dan or Harry might know but, it's a good bet that it could be Simon Atherton's.

Dan, could we explore the possibility of restoring the other pics? They might make for a nice set. Just thinking out loud here. Not sure about anyone else but, I know that I would be interested.
