Someone likely knows more details, but I believe the smaller pack was used in another film production.
And, the silver canister with connecting arm, from the larger pack, went up for auction, a while back.

The scene was filmed at the end of the shoot so they reused armour painted yellow. We know Crowe's leg armour was one set used as it went to auction a few years back with flecks of yellow paint still on it.
