The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It is 10k pieces almost. Expect to spend at least 80 hours building it. And expect to have some parts missing. The sellers are usually pretty good about sending out missing parts.

Errors are to be expected with that many and the double whammy of chinese focus on quantity over quality.

Well, if you can space it out. Hunt out the MOC plans and parts list. Buy the pieces in stages? might pay more, but hey, you could afford it and make it fit inside of YOUR budgets. As really it all comes down to what we can sacrifice and afford to budget for. I have no issues paying a smidgen more if it means I can avoid going into any form of debt.

I almost have it done. There are a few oddball parts I am missing. Remember when ordering if missing parts order off lego.com first, then use brickowl or your preferred secondary market vendor.

600 some for initial order
100 or so for additional order
final order was like 6

The amazing part was how painful that was to get mounted and assembled. It almost fell apart on me 3 separate times just on the initial pickup. It took several tries to get the thruster assembly end together and not fall apart.

The design itself was genius. Some of the pieces could have stood a little more reinforcement.
