The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey all, as part of trying to organise sellers to offer personalised Colonial Marine dog tags [see Service Number thread to obtain your own custom SN], I'm currently working with Ryan of Infernal Engineering. We've been spit-balling possible fonts to use for the tags ...

This last one, AG Book Rounded is my current fav so far. The 1, the 3, the 7, the Q are all pretty good. the 3 and the H, are a bit "fat". A condensed version would have been great I think.

Thoughts / suggestions / help?

I was able to model up a close replica of the Hudson tags. Then when I tried to enter in the information from the other characters I ran into some major problems.

Names will be different lengths. This will require either changing the spacing between characters or the height.

The serial number is really affected. Some will be too long, or too short. For every font I tried the period takes up way too much space.

What is really needed for the serial number is a font that each character takes up exactly the same space. The period also needs to take up minimal space. That way any serial number can be entered and be the appropriate length.
