The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I have been going through all the documentation I can find. Does anyone have dimensions on the marine ammo pouches used in the movie? Everything I have found indicates that they were a one off fabrication just for the film.

as per link:

An original pouch used in the production of the 1986 movie Aliens, the second instalment in the popular Alien franchise directed by James Cameron.

This is an original utility pouch as worn by the United States Colonial Marines in the movie. Constructed from green hard wearing military style canvas with attached belt loops, the pouch opens via a flap to the top which is fixed by a strip of Velcro. To give the pouch form it has been filled with two sections of light removable foam.

The pouch stands approximately 7.5" high, or 9.5" to the top of the belt loops and approximately 6" wide, it remains in excellent production used condition throughout.

A rare and desirable example of an original Colonial Marines costume element.

MOVIE / TV SHOW Aliens

Keep in mind that is the "big" pouch. Or the 'rump pouch' as I like to say.

The 'hip pouch' or "small pouch" is a bit smaller overall and has the belt loops mounted more toward the center (not hanging from over the top like the large pouch).

Noble did excellent copies of the pouches. Does Chef now also do them?

UPDATE: Previous discussion regarding should lamp batteries within this thread has been separated into its own thread. Seen here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19385

As for the small "hip" pouch, I'd say it is roughly 6" x 5.25" x 2.5". That was from measuring the excellent Noble pouches (which has gotten a bit ragged on mine, so supreme accuracy of measurement is difficult).

Chef does and so does Spat actually. Spat offers 2 styles including the screen used style and the style with fastex buckles (concept?). I'll let others argue about who they prefer, but there are 3 makers of pouches out there (2 of which still making them).

I have a mint pair of NOBLE pouches if anyone needs measurements... I am sure Noble would be willing to share his measurements too just so people are aware of dimensions?

I am presuming (?) the ones CHEF does are made with reference to originals in Harry’s collection?

I can’t comment on the SPAT ones but the NOBLE and CHEF ones look good to me.
